I am looking for information or folks who may remember him.

he was murdered on campus, near a cottage away from the main building as during as I remember it. Must have been your lake time. Back in 2006 I stopped by the academy and looked around. I noted the deteriorating condition. It was sad to see the great academy in such disrepair. Note on the front door said that your collectibles were displayed at the water office. Sounds like there were some great memories from there. Submerged in it for 2 years. Many lessons learned about consequences of choice. Few lessons learned about love, other than the love we all shared going through this experience together. I was very moved when you said you went AWOL a couple of times but not because ENMS was a bad place but that you were searching for your father. Such a powerful analogy that all of us there can identify with. Maybe we all were meant to stop off at ENMS and get further directions for the course of our lives. ENMS really was okay and no doubt helped us face the emptiness in our souls. It was a dark night that I hope we all got through and benefited by somehow.

Blessings to you my ENMS brother.

GaryO. I'm saving up the airfare hoping I can go.
I have to great kids, my daughter is an RN, 43, and my son is 34 married to a wonderful girl.
I often wonder what happened to cadet Gordon Wiers, a ward of the court who took a lot of teasing?
Lansing (Lance) White
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14343132664435558332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4873275211899208120.post-76617775401234027962011-06-08T15:45:18.968-06:002011-06-08T15:45:18.968-06:00Thanks for posting but was not sure if you were an...Thanks for posting but was not sure if you were an ENMS alum?? Stimus and I am told the School would be receiving a new Cadet from Hawaii tomorrow and that I would be held personally responsible for the Cadets well being and LIFE. Although he would be assigned to the 4th platoon it would be my duty as Small Dorm Commander to see that this new Cadet was not picked on in any manner. ABSOLUTELY NO HAZING of any kind! Is that clear Mr.Huettl?
If anything happens to this Cadet while he is here I will hold you responsible. "Yes sir". Dismissed.

That night after dinner all the guys down at the Smoker Hole wanted to know why word was sent out that the Col. had reamed me a new A**hole, was I in deep Sh**? No guys all he did was tell me a new Cadet was coming in from Hawaii and that I would be held responsible for his safty, so get the word out if anybody touches this guy that I will see them behind the Gym for a little work out.

Next day at a special formation Stimus introduces the new Cadet to the Corps. Well now I knew why the Colonel had tasked me with his life...He was BLACK, a first.

Needless to say the Col had misread the Corps. The new kid was great, although he did have a knack for PERPETUAL TOURS. To this day I still remember his QM number...151.... I will leave his name out of this post, but will always remember him as one of the best persons that I have ever known even though he was a royal pain at times.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08895282315650614773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4873275211899208120.post-20505212042010591292010-06-13T22:51:41.826-06:002010-06-13T22:51:41.826-06:00I was there I was there in 1963-1964 I remeber.I was there I was there in 1963-1964 I remeber.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
